Bullard High School Law Lab

bullard

It’s a new world of work. Complexity abound. Our schools have been challenged to equip our children with 21st century skills, and they can’t do it alone. This is an all hands on deck responsibility.

What this means is becoming informed and getting engaged. Every adult and every employer has a role to play in creating a vibrant economy and developing a strong workforce. Every purchase, every hire, every investment and every action we take to support our schools, we are strengthening our community.

Yesterday we had an inspiring meeting with the leaders of Bullard High School. Building on successful partnerships with CART Law Lab, we wanted to offer support for Bullard’s law pathway. Not only was the response enthusiastic, the clear commitment to career pathways and the progress are amazing. Over 150 lawyers are willing to help. Other professionals are needed in other pathways. Every high schools is aligning curriculum. We can show students where they fit, why school matters and how important they are by simply showing up. We can ensure all students graduate as confident life ready citizens.

Career and technical education is a fundamental culture shift in the system and in the community. Both K-12 and higher education are transforming in response to rapid change and growing complexity. In Fresno employers, government, educators and students are working together to build relationships and create pathways so every student can succeed.

Check out our website for more information. Be informed, get engaged, build a great community. The responsibility side of citizenship is where the action is.
