Grad Nation–America’s Promise to Our Kids–Fresno is On It

gradnation

A shift is taking place. Labeling kids with behavior we don’t want has proven to be make things worse.

Kids are not “drop-outs”, they are children coping with circumstances most of us cannot or don’t want to imagine.

It’s not just about schools getting better. Adaptive change is obviously needed regarding career paths yet….

It’s the inner journey and the context of a student’s life that makes the difference long-term.

Americans are committed to 5 promises–simple, practical, our shared responsibility:

  1. Caring Adults
  2. Safe Places
  3. A Healthy Start
  4. Effective Education
  5. Opportunities to Help Others

This is not about the schools working harder. It’s about all of us finding the most effective way to help.
